Dustin really wanted to go to President Hinckley's funeral (Feb. 2nd, 2008). Kevin had a Matrix training in Phoenix flying out that morning, so we decided to stay in Salt Lake that night so we could get there early and get in line for tickets. This is a photo taken by a YW we met in line and her mom. Lauren is from Orem and it was a lot of fun to talk with her - she emailed us this photo.

So were you able to make it in to the Conference Center for his funeral?
Yes we were, but we weren't able to get back to the hotel to change. So we felt a little uncomfortable about that. I told D that I hope others might think we were converts and give us the benefit of the doubt. We know our hearts were in the right place. It was wonderful!! As the casket left the Conference Center people waved handkerchiefs and white hankies. It was very touching.
I meant to say handkerchiefs and canes.
We got the pic, was that hard to get in? Love you guys!
That was awesome! We were able to watch it on a TV. President Hinckley was amazing, but I know President Monson will be a great Prophet as well! Thanks for being awesome parents! We love you.
